Excelencia’s Growing What Works Database

  • How do I find evidence-based, culturally responsive programs that are working for Latino students?
  • How can I connect with fellow program practitioners around the country who are also serving Latino students?
  • How can I find other evidence-based programs to replicate and bring to my community of students?

The Growing What Works Database (GWW) houses just over 200 active programs and serves as a resource for funders, policy makers, and individuals looking for what works for Latino students in higher education. The GWW Database began in 2009 to promote and advance evidence-based programs proven to increase Latino student success at the associate, baccalaureate, graduate, and community-based levels informed by Examples of Excelencia. Programs that demonstrate a positive impact on Latino student success can guide institutional transformation and pave the path forward for future Latino students.
