Examples of Excelencia Submission Webinar

On February 14th, the Examples team hosted a one-hour virtual session where we provided an overview of the submission process, reviewed what Excelencia is looking for in each section, and shared resources available to assist program leaders looking to take the next steps after receiving their nomination.

Cafecitos (Office Hours)

Cafecitos provide attendees with time and space to meet with Excelencia program staff and ask questions. These one-hour virtual office hours started with a brief overview of the topic or section listed below and were designed to have drop-in style attendance. These sessions were not recorded.

Pláticas (Conversations)

These plática interactive sessions are an opportunity for program leaders to learn and share strategies to engage multiple stakeholders in their programmatic efforts to intentionally SERVE Latino students. Designed with peer-to-peer learning in mind, the conversations take place as roundtable discussions and provide an interactive space for participants to engage and connect with one another. We invite attendees to download and read our Getting the most out of a Plática handout, a resource that shares our view on the plática format and how to build a great conversation using confianza, Excelencia’s trust-based approach.
