The annual Examples of Excelencia cycle yields many programs that are doing great work for Latino students. While we cannot
recognize all programs that provide a program profile submission form for Examples of Excelencia, there are many programs that stand out during our review but do not always meet our standards for Examples of Excelencia Finalists. These programs are typically too new or lacked sufficient evidence showing their effectiveness, but used proven practices and had plans for future data tracking.
Excelencia in Education recognizes these innovative, up-and-coming programs that have already made some positive impact on the success of their Latino students and are growing their evidence of effectiveness as Programs to Watch.
Learn more about the origins of Examples of Excelencia Programs to Watch in our 2018 Publication, Programs to Watch: Highlighting What Works for Latino Student Success.
